Job Title: Maintenance and Repair, Anhydrous Ammonia, UAN Equipment and Br. Facilities

Location: MONTROSE - Reports To: Ammonia, UAN and Facilities Maintenance Mgr.

Base Pay Range : $9.00 TO $17.00 ( Incentives per established scale)

Education/Experience Requirements :

High School Diploma or GED. Basic auto mechanic courses, VoAg welding, cutting, or experience. Applicant must have a good driving record and have or be able to obtain an Illinois commercial driver's license (CDL) with a Class A license and endorsements of T (doubles & triples) and X (tankers & Haz-mat).

Job Requirements :

Communication Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret common data. Ability to Respond to common inquiries from customers. Ability to effectively communicate with customers, employees and management.

Technical Skills : Arc Welding, Torch Welding. Must be able to obtain and maintain a CDL/Hazmat license. Must have ability to read wiring schematics.

Personal Skills: Applicant should possess a self-motivating personality as well as team building skills.

Working Conditions: While performing daily duties the employee will be working near moving mechanical equipment, in outside weather conditions, exposure to fumes or airborne particles. Occasionally works in high precarious places, unsupervised at times. Peak seasonal periods require extended hours. Must be available for emergency breakdowns (nights, weekends and holidays). Follow all established personnel, safety policies/procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

1.  Maintain and repair of A. A., UAN equipment, rolling stock and facilities in a safe economical fashion.
2. Follow procedures and methods of repair agreed to or established by Ammonia, UAN and Facilities Maintenance Manager.
3. Instruct and train fellow employees in a pleasant educating manner
4. Construct, build or re-build A. A. plant systems, Ag Chem plants and fertilizer plants & have working knowledge of plumbing & electrical systems.
5. Assist branches in-season as needed
6. Assist the motorized, non-motorized and plant maintenance sections of the maintenance and repair department.
7. Painting as necessary
8. Attend continuing education courses to maintain a quality level of knowledge for the maintenance and repairs and regulations involved.
9. Keep work areas free of debris.
10. Other duties as assigned.

6. Off-season - operate truck fleet (semi, feed, grain, petroleum trucks, etc) as directed by Branch Manager and Dispatcher or assist Effingham shop personnel as directed by Branch Manager and Plant Maintenance Manager.- or-
