Job Title: Maintenance and Repair Motorized and Application Equipment

Location: Effingham, Reports To: Motorized and Application Equipment Maintenance Mgr.

Base Pay Range : $10.00 TO $19.00 ( Incentives per established scale) 

Education/Experience Requirements :

High School Diploma or GED. Basic auto mechanic courses, VoAg welding, cutting, or experience. Applicant must have a good driving record and have or be able to obtain an Illinois commercial driver's license (CDL) with a Class A license and endorsements of T (doubles & triples) and X (tankers & Haz-mat).

Job Requirements :

Communication Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret common data. Ability to respond to common inquiries from customers. Ability to effectively communicate with customers, employees and management.

Technical Skills : Arc Welding and Torch Welding. Must be able to obtain and maintain a CDL license. Must have ability to read wiring schematics.

Personal Skills: Applicant should possess a self-motivating personality as well as team building skills.

Working Conditions: While performing daily duties the employee will be working near moving mechanical equipment, in outside weather conditions, exposure to fumes or airborne particles. Occasionally works in high precarious places, unsupervised at times. Peak seasonal periods require extended hours. Must be available for emergency breakdowns (nights, weekends and holidays). Follow all established personnel, safety policies/procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and repair equipment and rolling stock in a safe and economical fashion.
2. Procedures and methods of repair agreed to or established by Motorized and Application Equipment Maintenance Manager
3. Responsible for maintenance and repair of company owned motorized vehicles including engines, transmissions, differentials, wiring, lights, and brakes and springs.
4. Responsible for repairs of non-motorized equipment.
5. Attend training as directed by Motorized and Application Equipment Maintenance Manager.
6. Inspect tires repair and replace as needed following standards set by D.O.T. and company policy, written and verbal.
7. Assist fellow employees in anhydrous ammonia, UAN equipment and branch facilities maintenance and repairs.
8. Assist branches in-season as needed.
9. Private owned hand tools a must.
10. Keep work areas free of debris.
11. Follow all established personnel, safety policies/procedures.
12. Other duties as assigned.

Employee must be capable of frequent lifting objects up to 50 pounds and follow all established personnel, safety policies/procedures.

Job Responsibilities :

1. Operate truck fleet as directed.
2. Mixes Ag Chemicals, blends fertilizer, pumps anhydrous ammonia, works on equipment as directed.
3. Make sure all paper work is completed daily as needed.
4. Responsible for the daily maintenance of the truck and equipment.

3. Keep Sales Manager or Branch Manager informed on sales activity
4. Perform maintenance and installation on tanks and pumps
5. Attend continuing education courses to maintain a quality level of knowledge for the products and regulations involved.
